Specialists for ŠKODA AUTO

At its corporate secondary vocational school ŠKODA AUTO prepares graduates of basic schools in 4-year study and 3-year apprenticeship courses in the engineering and electro-technical spheres.
The structure of the apprenticeship and study spheres and the number of students in individual fields is based strictly on the needs and requirements of the car manufacturer. In the 2006/2007 school year a total of 937 pupils were prepared for their future profession in eleven spheres.

The costs of the education (fees, educational aids, work clothes and footwear) is paid in full by ŠKODA AUTO. For students living further away there is a boarding house with a capacity of 130 beds.

Graduates of a secondary vocational school have a chance to find work in one of the production of service operations and at other workplaces in Mladá Boleslav, or at one of the branch plants of the car manufacturer.

IES Certificates – an advantage on the job market

The school is an accredited educational establishment with the International Education Society (EIS), based in London. Accreditation allows graduates to acquire the IES international certificate, which is recognised in the CR and abroad.

An IES certificate holder will stand a better chance on the international job market and the certificate also makes orientation easier for employers. In the 2005/2006 school year 115 school graduates were awarded the IES certificate.

Out-of-school activities

As a reward the best pupils will participate on exchange study programmes (Germany, Great Britain) or language sight-seeing courses (Germany, Austria) and language training.

In their free time pupils under specialist supervision have an array of sports and interesting activities to chose from – weight-lifting, swimming, water sports, sports games, ten-pin bowling, indoor football, cycling, table tennis, shooting, basketball or volleyball.
