Research Team and Contacts


A special research team established as a part of the Škoda Auto Technical Development unit that, in co-operation with other institutions, focuses on an analysis of real traffic accidents involving cars currently produced at Škoda. Only in this way can designers focus on key areas and deal with them successfully.

Composition of the Safety Team:

Ing. Petr Kraus

Head of the car safety department at Škoda Auto Technical Development.His remit also includes the Traffic Safety Research Team – he manages and coordinates the team’s activities.

Ing. Karel Mulač

A member of the Traffic Safety Research Team – he is involved in researching cars’ behaviour in accidents, active and passive safety elements, examining the place of accidents and first personal contact with parties to traffic accidents.

Ing. Petr Krásný

A member of the Traffic Safety Research Team – he is involved in researching cars’ behaviour in accidents, active and passive safety elements, examining the place of accidents and first personal contact with parties to traffic accidents.

Ing. Jiří Sojka

A member of the Traffic Safety Research Team - he is involved in researching cars’ behaviour in accidents, active and passive safety elements, examining the place of accidents and first personal contact with parties to traffic accidents.

Juraj Najdko Dis.

A member of the Traffic Safety Research Team - ensures consultations with participants in traffic accident and as a medical specialist is involved in research from a medical point of view.

Bc. Alena Fajčíková

A member of the Traffic Safety Research team – arranges consultations with parties to traffic accidents and researches accidents from the biomedicine and biomechanics viewpoints.

Ing. Martina Vítů

A member of the Traffic Safety Research team – arranges consultations with parties to traffic accidents and researches accidents from the biomedicine and biomechanics viewpoints.

Mgr. Robert Šťastný

A member of the Traffic Safety Research team – arranges co-operation with public administration bodies and organisations and the professional public. He also ensures the results of the team’s work are used in road traffic safety prevention programmes.
